DESCRIPTION:Two-Day Sun Chair Course.   (Picture insert from a client ) \nThis Chair differs slightly in design from the traditional Adirondack Chair. The seat position is more upright\, which makes it easier to sit into and get out of\, and the back has a circular shape. They look great together in a garden or on a patio ! \nThis is a 2-day course (9.00 am to 5.00 pm each day). During the two days\, you make the beautiful Sun chair. Using Scandinavian pine you will be building a chair that will last for many years and will be a favourite for all family members. With step-by-step instructions from a master craftsman\, you will be learning how to use a variety of tools including a handsaw\, hand plane\, jigsaw\, spokeshave\, bevel\, battery screw gun\, wood chisel\, measuring tape\, and square. \nYou’ll be working in a fully equipped workshop\, meeting some new people\, as you work through the class together. You will be surprised at how much you will enjoy the process and taking home your chair will give you a great sense of achievement. \nThe class size is restricted to eight people\, to ensure physical distancing. The workshop is spacious and each person will work on their own bench. \nAs it’s a two-day course\, you have the perfect chance to see some of Hook Peninsula and its spectacular beaches\, historic sites\, and visitor attractions. Take a day or two extra to enjoy the area. \nCourse Cost €280.00 \nThe booking Deposit is 50%\, balance payable when you attend.

DESCRIPTION:One-Day Tool Tune-Up \nThis course is designed to show you how to sharpen and fine-tune your own woodwork tools. \nIt is relevant for brand-new and used tools. \nMany tools when purchased new may need the grinding angle to be corrected and other adjustments to be made.  Learning how to do this will ensure your tools will remain in top condition for years of use\, and will allow you to bring older tools back to life. \nWe will focus on flat and carving woodworking chisels\, also a range of hand planes and the spokeshave. You are welcome to bring along your own Work-working Tools on the day to sharpen and tune. \nThe course will facilitate you using a number of different sharpening methods\, which will include the electric waterstone\, the oilstone\, the diamond stone and the leather strop. You will also learn how to maintain each of the sharpening tools\, so that you can maintain your own tools at home. \nNote:this course is not suitable for gardening tools. \nCourse Cost €110.00 \nThe booking Deposit is 50%\, balance payable when you attend.
