DESCRIPTION:This is a new one day course which we have run a few times with some local groups\, and we are happy to offer it now as part of our schedule. Marquetry is the ancient art of combining different timber veneers together to create a design or a picture. We have a number of templates we can work with to create your first marquetry picture and the exciting part is\, once you can master the technique\, the possibilities are endless. \nIt doesn’t matter if you consider yourself artistic or not\, this is a relaxing and rewarding type of woodwork and we invite you to come to try it for yourself \nWe will be using a range of veneers\, including walnut\, cherry\, beech\, birch and oak and you can choose from a range of design for your first Marquetry project.
