This one day course is suited for the summer, because we will be working outdoors for the day. We have trialled this great course with a local group and are now ready to include it in our schedule

In this course, you will be using the tools of the Bodger. Bodgers were highly skilled itinerant wood-turners, who worked in the beech woods of the Chiltern Hills. The term and trade also spread to Ireland and Scotland. You will make your own Log Stool from a trunk of Ash, using the shave horse to hold the timber, and the froe, beetle and drawknife to shape the timber.

We will work in our own garden space at the woodwork school, so if the weather is not suitable we can work indoors instead. A really productive and enjoyable day, with a unique finished stool at the end.
